Programming Cable for Motorola GM900, GM1200, GM2000, etc.
This cable is designed specifically for quick and easy programming of the following Motorola mobile transceivers: GM1100, GM1200, GM2000, GM900, MC2100, MC900, MCS2000, MCX1200, MCX2000, etc. If you are an user of one of these radios this link may be useful to you. Our cable-interface requires an external 9-12V DC power source, which should be connected to the DC lead fitted with PP battery snap. This is not a straight forward cable, there is an internal converter circuit board (interface) mounted in the DB9 shell. The cable communicates directly with a computer through the Serial (COM) Port, following the RS-232 specifications. This is a RIB-less cable with built-in interface, so that the Motorola RIB is not required. Simply hook it up to your computer. If you are new to programming old Motorola two-way radios, please open this document and read it first. Please note that the Programming Software is not supplied with the cable.
