RIB-Less RS-232 Programming Cable for Motorola HT50 and P100 Radios
This cable is designed specifically for quick and easy programming of the Motorola HT50 and P100 handheld transceivers. This is a RIB-less programming set, so that no Motorola Radio Interface Box (RIB) is needed. Simply hook it up to the COM-port (Serial Port) of your computer. It requires an external 9V DC battery (not supplied), which should be connected to the DC lead fitted to the DB9 plug. This is not a straight forward lead, there is an internal converter circuit board (interface) mounted in the DB9 plug. The cable communicates directly with a PC through the standard COM-port. The lead is fitted with 3 crocodile clamps for connection to the radio. The clamps are colour marked as follows - Red (BUS+), Green (BUSY), and Black (GND). This cable is extensively tested at time of manufacture to be free of defects. This cable does not include any manuals or instructions for use. Therefore, it will be assumed that the purchaser is knowledgeable in using the cable for the applications it is designed for. Please note that we supply the hardware only, we can not supply software.
